Yasir is a seasoned attorney with more than 25 years of experience, a core portion of which has been concentrated in the area of civil litigation. During his tenure with an AmLaw 200 firm, and subsequently, as a Shareholder with a well-respected boutique litigation firm, he represented clients before state and federal courts in matters involving business disputes, intellectual property, real estate and employment.

Yasir is experienced in all phases of litigation. He has tried cases to verdict, taken and defended numerous depositions throughout the United States, argued dispositive motions in state and federal courts, oversaw major discovery projects, supervised teams of attorneys and paralegals and participated in numerous mediations, arbitrations and settlement conferences.

Prior to joining Yu | Mohandesi, Yasir operated his own law firm and served as in-house counsel to multiple companies providing general commercial legal support with a particular focus on antitrust counseling and compliance.

A small sampling of Yasir’s successful representative matters include:

  • Obtained full defense verdict at jury trial for financial institution against claims of breach of contract and fraud by former client seeking $5M in damages.
  • Supported the successful resolution of a multi-jurisdictional government antitrust investigation brought by the United States Department of Justice and the Korea Fair Trade Commission relating to claims of collusion.
  • Served as lead counsel in defending product liability lawsuit and obtained complete defense verdict after bench trial.
  • Successfully represented client in appellate proceedings relating to a business partnership dispute, resulting in published opinion of Stratton of Florida, Inc. v. Woolley, 711 So.2d 597 (Fla. Dist. Ct. App. 1998).
